Australian post-punk band HTRK launch into their 21st year together with a series of gigs, collaborations, remixes, and perhaps most importantly, a vital reissue of their 2009 debut LP Marry Me Tonight. Released initially on Blast First Petite, their now longtime label home Ghostly International handles this edition which also sees their auspicious beginnings hitting streaming platforms for the very first time. Then a trio, Marry Me Tonight is also the only HTRK album to bear production from spiritual influence, Rowland S. Howard of The Birthday Party. An often thrilling assemblage of all things moody and synth-y, tracks like the dub forward ‘Your Mistress Turns To Dust’ prove HTRK had their misty eyed cool down from the very jump.
