The Numero Group have released a limited edition re-pressing of this acoustic compilation from 1970. A beautiful collection by various female singer-songwriters, all stemming from the tail end of the folk revival scene, Wayfaring Strangers evokes a sense of melancholic dreaminess and aching nostalgia. Standouts include the gentle harmonies of Carla Sciaky’s ‘And I a fairytale lady’ and the raw youthfulness of ‘Maybe in another year’, by Jennie Pearl.
