New Warp signing Jeremiah Jae continues his initial run of mini releases for the label with ‘Dirty Collections Vol. 3’. ‘Bright Works’, which features guests Israel and E Snow, sees a beautifully sampled brass riff saturated and made melancholy below simmering spitting vocals. ‘Outro Onto Other’ has a similarly claustrophobic feel, with beats that can’t escape the deadpan nihilistic delivery of its lyrics, but ‘Nu Bad Man’ is the highlight, with a madcap sprinkling of samples which recall Quasimoto in their sharp juxtaposition.
