Those who were waiting for further collaborations since Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard remixed Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith’s ‘An Intention’ in 2017 are in for a treat, as the two have finally paired up for their EP Neptunes. The usual joy, awe, and playfulness from Smith’s colourful array of electronics collides with Goddard’s vigorous house rhythms on the title track, with dextrous chiptuned plucks and gaseous vocal edits fitting right into the high energy club format. Bouncing and vibrant, these two combine their talents in modular synth wizardry and versatile production extraordinairism to ecstatic effect.
