Lapsus Records celebrates 20 years in the business with a new compilation featuring some of their most frequent flyers as well as friends and influences alike. While Lapsus was indeed born out of a rave in a Catalan squat, the Barcelona label has levelled up tenfold since then, becoming something of a beacon in a dance music world that moves further and further away from genre essentialism. VINT then is as much a collection of (seemingly) disparate tracks as it a story of the label’s growth itself: from the jazzy swell of Marina Herlop’s ‘Collige Virgo Gladium’ to the dark and burly bass of Seph’s ‘Lunarglass’ to the tricky rhythms of Nueen’s almost footwork ‘Potentia Gaudendi’ no one does it quite like Lapsus.
