Swedish Duo Jonsson / Alter have been instrumental in developing the revered sound of their fellow Scandinavian imprint Kontra-Musik, so it seems the obvious place for them to be offered the chance to expand their work further within the realms of the LP format. Debut ‘Mod’ commences with an original Swedish vocal, which gradually leads into the delicate, atmospheric deep house groove of 'Acapellan'. These easy going tones underpin the whole release, utilising a silky smooth beat over simple chords on 'Djup House' and another basic yet effective pairing on 'Hela Berget'. Never overdone, ‘Mod’ breaths an icy cold breeze of Nordic style through an often poorly imitated genre.
