Luaka Bop ready another CD only release from their archives for a first time vinyl press, this time the Los Amigos Invisibles with their 1998 latin jazz/disco crossover album. It’s an interesting project, and one we haven’t heard much like before. The fourth track in, ‘Sexy’, is a shuffling feel good house track that would sound right at home in a peak time DJ Sotofett set. What makes this LP so interesting is the fusion of styles going on, with the follow up to ‘Sexy’ calling to mind the Orissa stuff on Better Days. A strangely comforting blend of soft guitar and jazz instrumentation mixed with house and disco rhythms.
