50 Weapons the imprint curated by the venerable German duo Modeselektor, inaugurate a series of remixes of Cosmin TRG’s recent album ‘Gordian’, which are designed to highlight aspects of the album that are more DJ-ready. Dutch house eccentric Legowelt hardens up ‘Terminus Abrupt’ with an aggressive Detroit techno bass thump and gorgeous washes of synth pads, while Miles Whittaker, one half of Manchester’s Demdike Stare, heaps noisey crackle onto ‘Noise Code’ to make a nicely contrasting pair.
