After releasing five sweltering volumes engineered to drive the dancefloor to its demise, The Bug teams up with Relapse Records to bring his Machine series into the physical realm with a 2×LP version featuring a handpicked selection from the original digital EPs. Distilling pure ire into bass and brittle rhythms blasted with distortion, these tracks host some of The Bug’s most eviscerating solo material to date, many of them setting off alarms with their sheer vibrational power. The sludgy dub kicks of ‘Annihilated’ patiently stomp into the album’s tempestuous atmosphere, complete with lightning strikes and all consuming bass, meanwhile ‘Inhuman’ sneers with its water cannon synth sirens and sprinting bursts of hi hats.
