Nicolas Jaar’s Other People label goes from strength to strength with this second release care of Will Epstein’s High Water project. If you like cotton-sack country music shrouded in strings and recorded onto wax cylinder you’re in luck: ‘Railroad Song’ offers a crackly, undulating folk tune, while B-sides ‘Forest of Eyes’ and ‘Lords of Light’ are like Akron Family made trippy. Weird and wonderful.
