Bradford vocalist Laura Groves has moved down to London, shifted into wonky/psychedelia and caught the eye of Nathan “Bullion” Jenkins, who’s co-produced this four-track EP. There’s a touch of his anarchy on the funky, bass-twanging ‘Pale Shadows’ and the sax-powered ‘Easy Way Out’, but it’s the title track and ‘Inky Sea’ that are the highlights: dreamy electronic pop that threatens to dethrone Jessy Lanza as the queen of hi-tech cool.
