The label ‘Russian Torrent Versions’ seems shrouded in mystery, but most likely is an extension of Ron Morelli’s L.I.E.S imprint, given that the majority of the artists so far represented on this young imprint have recorded on the Brooklyn-based label. Bookworms has consistently released some of L.I.E.S’ most refined material to date, the impeccable ‘African Rhythms’ being a stand out, so one should expect a similar exploration of analogue house in perverse and unusual forms to characterise this new release.
