A quieter side to pioneering dub producer Rob Modell here: ’20 Electronic Soundfields’ sees him working with a reduced pallet, sticking to soft hissing static and grumbling bass only. The result is a sensual, trippy adventure close in tone to Echospace’s blissed-out ‘The Coldest Season’, with spooky woodland noises on ‘De Wallen’, Blade Runner-like rain and traffic on ‘Rooftop’ and sea caves of white noise on ‘Driftwood’.
