Following on from the well-received split release with Conqueror (Redlight) on his Lobster Boy imprint, Bristolian Mensah Anderson returns with two burrowing electro takes under the New York Transit Authority name. A-side ‘Swarm’ presses all the right buttons, with tuned hi bongos marking out time with a nagging insistence until they’re subsumed by huge low-end swoops and all the 808 claps and distorted cowbells it takes to induce dancefloor madness. On the flip ‘95’, sporting a classic Richard Pryor sample, pulls just as many punches with syncopated house piano stabs taking things even deeper. A set of absolute belters for those with a penchant for DJ Stingray, Pearson Sound, and hard-edged house.
