Austrian ambient-techno producer Clara Moto returns to French imprint InFine following on from 2010’s excellent ‘Polyamour’. Reportedly inspired by the sense of dislocation inherent in the life of a travelling musician trying to connect with one’s audience, ‘Blue Distance’ is a luxurious mixture of ethereal vocals, luscious reverbs, and submerged processional beats which come across like a more abstracted Bjork, or a vocalised take on the work of Moto’s fellow Austrian Christian Fennesz.
