Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour are pleased to announce Weval’s new EP, Night Versions, set for release on 4th October. Weval (Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte Albers) are an Amsterdam-based duo who have established a solid reputation across the globe for crafting highly textured and sophisticated electronic music. Night Versions are brand new, club-focused alternatives to key tracks from Weval’s recent critically acclaimed album, Remember. Weval best describe the new versions here: "It was so much fun to return to the material and make some bold moves. Just to see how far we could push the tracks with the dance floor in mind. We've been road-testing a few of these in our DJ sets lately, and it's so rewarding to watch people dance and hear the tracks blasting on the dance floor. It's addictively fun to experience and see the second life of the songs from the LP." The duo will be performing at Phonox (London) on 2nd August and have recently finished a DJ tour in the USA. They had an extensive EU/UK tour late last year, including HERE at Outernet (London), Bataclan (Paris) and Paradiso (Amsterdam). They have previously performed to emphatic festival crowds at Primavera Sound, Sonar Festival Istanbul, DGTL Amsterdam, Lightning In A Bottle, OSHEAGA, Lost Village, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Pitchfork festival Germany and many more.
