Michael Fiedler of Jah Schulz fame is back to tear up the subwoofers, this time presenting the debut for his Ghost Dubs name on The Bug's PRESSURE label. Damaged is a trip through smoky, stretched out dub techno in all shades, from the factory floor depths of ‘Chemical’ with the patient heavy breathing of sizzling noise and ominous rumbles, to ‘Thin Line’ acknowledging the genre's Caribbean origins while twisting them through sonic experimentation. Elsewhere, chilly grooves and skittering metallic percussion reverberate into thick mist, where piano chords flash by like headlights on a foggy night drive.
