Scott Monteith’s enduring Deadbeat project drops the third 12” in the ‘Infinity Dubs’ series on his own BLKRTZ label. ‘I.D.5’ and ‘I.D.6’ continue the series’ honing of bare bones locked-in techno steppers with a deep dub tinge bearing the hallmarks of the artist’s residence in Berlin. Hard-hitting but loaded with pillowy synth sighs and washed out arpeggiations, ‘…vol 3.’ is destined to be as versatile a dancefloor tool as its predecessors.
