Taken from Vapor City, Machinedrum’s full length and debut on Ninja Tune, ‘Gunshotta’ sees Travis Stewart continue to furrow his complex hybrid of jungle, footwork and drum’n’bass. Stewart has implemented a grandiose concept to accompany Vapor City, and as such, the Gunshotta Ave EP offers a window into what to expect from the full length. ‘Gunshotta’ itself is everything you’d expect from Stewart, but it’s with ‘Stirrin’ that he throws the curveball - a full on reggae track unlike anything he’s done before. Fracture’s remix takes ‘Gunshotta’ in a more dubstep-orientated direction whilst AMIT slows it down to a dubby tempo that drops below 100bpm.
