Vancouver producer Crystal Dorval’s first non-cassette album is no less fuzzy, kooky or melodic than her previous tape-only releases, blending shoegaze aesthetics with hook-led guitar pop. ‘Dizzy’ drops Hype Wiliams-like keyboards over blurred looping bass; ‘Wear Me Away’ lets her elfin voice shine through the crackling drums and omnipresent Fender fuzz.
