The haunting, mysterious and at all times lovely sounds of British electronica duo Goldfrapp are back with their 6th album, 'Tales of Us'. Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesizer) and Will Gregory (synthesizer, arranger) have compiled 10 tracks, each with their own name (excluding the track "Stranger") and own storyline. Taking cues from their debut album 'Felt Mountain' back in 2000, 'Tales of Us' is a slowed down, introspective character piece which strays loosely away from the dance/glam-rock feel encompassing the group's past few albums. In the spotlight once again are Alison Goldfrapp's soft, rich, melodic and expressive vocals. They go hand in hand with Gregory's string arrangements and haunting synth structures to create a layered and emotional album.
