Genres
Hotly-tipped UK instrumental group oreglo land on the Brownswood label for their debut EP entitled Not Real People. Formed at the famed London youth organization Tomorrow’s Warriors, oreglo displays a wealth of musical knowledge that runs against their assumed naivety. Running through everything from blues-y hard rock to drill to reggae, the quartet are adept at forward momentum while adding sonic textures (namely from Teigan Hastings’ tuba) that feel fresh in any genre with which they mess about. Not Real People’s sole guest spot comes courtesy of Bel Cobain who adds some breathy lounge runs to the lover’s rock of ‘comet’ to nice effect.
