A blast from the era when they were butting heads with the Darkness to try and fill dance floors with guitar tunes, Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand have taken top ten favourite ‘Take Me Out’ and seen what Daft Punk can make of it. The result is an analogue march driven by vinyl crackle, guitar cribbed from Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ and shrieking white noise. Fellow electronic duo Naum Gabo compensate with synths on the B-side.
