Bristol keyboard player Alec Snook has been making waves on the oddtronica scene since 2008, and this single from second LP ‘The Bridge Between Life of Death’ catches him in Icelandic imitator phase: Björk-like ambience and Jóhann Jóhannsson strings on the original ‘The Gaits’, Orbital’s Paul Hartnoll’s surprisingly mellow techno remix, and a translation into Berlin electro from shoegaze programmer Ulrich Schnauss.
