Following on from recent compilation ‘Eglo Records Vol. 1’, the label are releasing Floating Points stand out, eleven minute epic ‘Wires’ as a limited 12”. It’s some of his most breathtaking work. Created in collaboration with an ensemble of eleven additional musicians, ‘Wires’ grows and grows. The subtle shuffles of percussion give way to beatless, graceful strings, the lightest of horns and the precise trickle of synthesizers. The most elegant of basslines drops in towards the end and the whole thing builds and culminates in tumbling drums and shimmering sound. A spellbinding track of the utmost instrumental finesse.
