1958 recording of the original Congolese version of the Latin Mass based on the traditional songs of the Congo and played by the Troubadours Du Roi Baudouin. The extraordinary music was arranged by Father Guido Haazen, a Franciscan friar from Belgium, and was born out of improvisations based on traditional songs made by the choir he conducted. It has since become one of the most recognisable 'world music' albums, its tracks appearing in numerous films including If..., The Singing Nun and Never Let Me Go.

  1. 1 Dibwe diambula kabanda, Congolese marriage song Troubadours Du Roi Baudouin 0:30
  2. 2 Lutuku: A bene kanyoka (Emergence from Grief), Congolese mourning song Troubadours Du Roi Baudouin 0:30
  3. 3 Ebu ewale kemai, Congolese marriage ballad Troubadours Du Roi Baudouin 0:30
