Cologne producer/Kompakt co-founder Michael Mayer’s 2012 album ‘Mantasy’ was techno of such quality everyone wanted to remix it. Mayer commissioned a trio of EPs from a line-up of his favourite producers, the fruits of which are compiled here on this mammoth full-length. From the Afro-edged house of Matias Aguayo’s take on ‘Lamusetwa’ through to Terranova’s throbbing, ‘90s-synth mix of ‘Roses’, this takes the consensus that techno sticks to 4/4 beats and blows it out of the water.
