Italy may be more renowned for the hugely influential Italo & Cosmic Disco movements, however Alessio Natalizia (of Walls fame) is keen to shine the light on the more underground, experimental new wave & post-punk scenes emanating from the darkest Italian basements in the 1980’s in his refined compilation – ‘Mutazione’. Culminating in 26 rare, politically charged tracks, ‘Mutazione’ is a perfect opportunity to become acquainted with the creative DIY ethos applied at this time, which has undoubtedly influenced many other genres since.
