After his mad Afro-beat sounds on ‘Coolie Joyride’, East-End DJ Spooky moves to Unknown to the Unknown for this brutal, beat-heavy follow-up. ‘Baby’ recalls Plan B’s ‘Ill Manors’ with its jerky strings and clattering percussion - Spooky takes it on its own unique tangent with honking synths that grow angrier and angrier, and samples that climb through the spectrum of gun crime.
