There’s just something about Italian master Donato Dozzy’s productions that sounds so alive, so ethereal and here he takes up remix duties of Bee Mask’s 2012 release “Vaporware”. Providing not one, but seven reworks of the impressive original, Dozzy obliterates the track and enriches the constituents giving it a greater vitality. “Vaporware 1” begins with a Voices Of The Lake style new age ambience, with running water samples and waves of soft strings, but boundaries are pushed on the submerged “Vaporware 4” which finds a groove out of the unlikeliest of sources. Dozzy also hints at his minimalist / krautrock style influences, with “Vaporware 6” & “Vaporware 7” sounding like a cross between Popol Vul and Terry Riley, ending a monumental LP.
