London producer Lil Silva’s second EP for Good Years continues the emotional electronic pop he demonstrated on 2011’s ‘The Patience’. ‘No Doubt’ brings in Rosie Lowe to sing over luscious but gentle keyboard chords while ‘Salient Sarah’ crunches and cracks around Sampha’s voice without spoiling the mood. Instrumental cuts ‘Mask’ and ‘One Twenty’ are more percussive, and show that the Londoner’s time on Night Slugs is something even angel-voiced singers can’t subdue.
