An electronic producer who shot to fame in 1970’s Cameroon, Francis Bebey is best known for his “sound on sound” layering technique, so it’s therefore only appropriate he gets remixed by some of the best: French hip-hop star Pilooski (who helmed last year’s Bebey compilation) and Caribou/Daphni take turns pulling apart the looping bass, xylophones and upbeat panpipes that Bebey commands like an army.
