The third EP this year from the Brooklyn three-piece, ‘Breezy Whey’ continues their avant garde, instrument-augmented brand of IDM. The title track layers drowsy organs, sax and throbbing 4/4 beats into a driving piece of electronica, chilled out and club compatible. Flipside ‘Backflight’ manipulates bursts of brass instruments into a retro house hybrid. Thefft adds a hooting little remix that makes this the best jazz club/normal club crossover this year, or possbily ever.
