A resident of Berlin’s Berghain nightclub, Marcel Fengler makes his full-length debut for Ostgut Ton after a string of well-received EPs for the label. ‘Fokus’ is a warm mix of dub and electronica, with shimmering, Global Communication-style ambience on ‘Distant Episode’ and slowed-down synth-heavy techno on ‘High Falls’. Fans of his early work or followers of defunct labels Toytronic and City Centre Offices will find much to enjoy here.
