The 6th studio album from hip-hop artist Kanye West. Here we see West heavily influenced by electronica, acid house and industrial, guided by darker sounds and more refined directions. Drum machines, synthesizers and distortion all interplay on top of Kanye's skilled rapping. Collaborators include, Mike Dean and Daft Punk and Warp's very own TNGHT and Hudson Mohawke. Guest artists include Chief Keep, Assassin and King L. “Blood on the leaves” is particularly spellbinding, featuring haunting samples from Nina Simone's “Strange Fruit”.
