Jimmy Edgar and close ally and co-worker Machinedrum inaugurate their new Ultramajic label with Edgar’s own ‘Hot Inside’ EP. The title track struts with sleazy abandon, opening with a filtered diva war-cry and big cavernous beats. Where previous releases from Edgar have gone in heavy with the boogie, ‘Hot Inside’ instead focuses on pulsating club-ready stompers replete with oscillating synths and shuffling syncopation.
