René Pawlowitz’s Power House label has been an outlet for his non-Shed output since 2010, and struck a real high with this 12” that came three years the label’s launch - and happened to contain one of the German techno producer’s most captivating grooves yet. Like most of his orthodox material ‘Burning’ is driven by 4/4 beats, but quickly drops into piano-powered house, built around a stabbing arpeggio that’s so relentless even the most hardened genre-skeptic will have to submit. A ‘Dirt’ mix of ‘Keep on Talking’ maintains the energy on side B.
