Perhaps the most important of René Pawlowitz’s Power House label reissues, ‘It’s A Love Thing’ is the track that kickstarted the Shed man’s Head High alias with this melodic house headbanger back in 2010. There are two cuts here, nine minutes apiece: elastic beats, suped-up high hats, a killer vocal sample and gorgeous two-note keys on the ‘Piano Invasion’ A-side, and a dubbed-out but more frantic interpretation on the flip. Pure house bliss that sounds as sharp today as it did on conception, and will surely win over any loyalist ex-ravers.
