Taken from his deservedly hyped ‘Modern Worship’ LP, this 12” shows off Dave Corney’s knack for shimmering but fast-paced synthpop. ‘Northwest Passage’ is an urgent five minutes of racing beats, gauze-like ambience and breathy, androgynous vocals. A remix by Vessel heavies up the percussion and bass and adds yapping noises, while the Factory Floor interpretation is a stoned but squelching monster.
