Like counterpart label Night Slugs, Fade to Mind have a reputation for bruising, innovative beats, and label founder Kingdom maintains the benchmark with this latest EP. Kicking off with a guest spot from newly signed vocalist Kelela, ‘Bank Head’ weaves ambient synths and clicking, twitchy drums around her siren-like vocals. The likes of ‘Corpse’ are rougher, with bursts of hoovers and industrial beats, while the title track with its stabbing keyboards/gentler drums is all about the groove.
