The collaboration between producer and label-head Mark Ernestus and Senegal’s Sabar drummers and other high-profile Senegalese artists such as Youssou N'Dour and Baaba Maal. This instrumental-led release chronicles their time spent recording in Dakar throughout 2011 to create this hybridised sound of dub, afro-beats, dancehall and funk. From the railroad pulse of Xale Rhythm to the euphoric stomp of Gawlo Version, this LP documents a producer fully immersing himself in a culture (much like he did with Shangaan Electro) for an LP of new sounds and fresh energy.
