Melt Yourself Down is the project of a seven-piece band of Africa-inspired, London-bound musicians, some of which have previously lent themselves to names including the Heliocentrics, Sons of Kemet and Mulatu Astatke amongst others. Via airless catacombs they channel the sound of Cairo ’57, piercing through walls with fierce jazz, punk and free-falling jazz. Primal manifestations of sound that sound as urgent and energetic as you can get.
