Following a trio of well-received EPs on Diynamic Music, Hamburg’s David August teams up with the imprint again to unveil his debut LP entitled ‘Times’. Comprised of 14 sturdy pieces, August explores a range of impressive, song-based deep house and downtempo pieces that are equally comfortable at home as they are in the DJ bag. Slow burning house flavours are found on the string-based 'For Eternity' whereas 'Anthem' draws comparisons with Nicolas Jaar’s work through use of folk percussion and building synth chords. August show off his classically trained piano skills on 'Blossom', effortlessly moving through the scales, allowing his electronic production to drag the piece back onto the dance floor.
