When he shared honours with Progression on the debut Nineteen89 release, it was obvious Southampton techno producer Sean Rumah was going to turn heads. This double A-side may cause whiplash, dropping juddering house/vocal loops on ‘Stutter’, then stirring in clattering beats and dub slabs on the Apes & Seb Wildblood remix. On the flip, ‘Murmur’ pokes at a low, bass-like voice with snares before James Fox adds warehouse synths for his interpretation. This is techno with brass knobs on.
