A new venture for Canadian producer/Ninja Tune graduate Ghislain Poirier, Boundary deals in dark electro textures, like Planet Mu without the garish bits. With a doff of the cap to the Warp Artificial Intelligence series, thirteen tracks make up this self-titled debut, from the slow Afro beats and footwork rhythms of ‘Devil’s Triangle’ to the thuggy bass, bongos and 8-bit of ‘Bootleg Fireworks’. Proof that bleakness is possible even under the lights of a super club.
