Alex Ander and Marc Dall turned heads with their eerie broken beats on 10” ‘Mitchell Heisman’ last year - now they’re back on Blackest Ever Black with debut album ‘An Ambassador For Laing’. From the incredible ‘Who’s Here, You’re Here, I’m Here’ with its vacuumed-up drums, bizarre synths and ethereal vocal samples to the ominous low-end/ambient pads of ‘He Was Human and Belonged With Humans’, this is a dark but positive electronic record, like the Blade Runner score if Roy Batty kept on killing.
