While mainly known for his considerable techno and house discography, California-based John Tejada also operates as the lesser known Lucid Dream, producing mind-melting IDM and more abstract patterns. 2009 release ‘Recovered Data 95’ showcases this, bringing together a collection of works written in the summer and fall of 1995. Slow celestial vibrations are found on ‘Cavatina’ in contrast to the hyperactive, sci-fi jitters of ‘Trek’. Covering many different aspects of the broad IDM genre, this piece comes highly recommended for fans of Aphex Twin, Autechre and Monolake.
