Mark Fell returns to his Sensate Focus alias once more with more of those propulsive, deconstructed garage grooves that so impressed us the first time around. SND partner in crime Mat Steel jumps on board for this one, cooking up two sensational sides of lush, translucent chords, and swinging, mercurial rhythms. Where previous editions in the Sensate Focus series still possessed more of a skewed SND approach, the sleek contours and occasional rave stabs of ‘2.5’ align itself even further with the dance floor. Brilliant stuff.
