William Yates returns as Memotone with another installment of droned noises for the Black Acre label. Carrying on where 2012’s ‘I Sleep At Waking’ left off, this is dark, mangled stuff: lighthouse sirens and sliding zips on ‘Koma’, and on ‘Goldair’, the sound of runaway Tesla coils and persistent pumping organs.
