A Hawk and a Hacksaw, the duo made up of Jeremy Barnes and Heather Trost, present their sixth album – ‘You Have Already Gone to the Other World’. Inspired by Russian filmmaker Sergey Paradjanov’s 1964 film, ‘Shadow of Forgotten Ancestors’, the album takes its cues from the surreal folk magic of Forgotten Ancestors, seven original tracks alongside nine Ukranian, Hungarian and Romanian traditional songs reimagined and arranged with thundering percussion, dramatic violins, stately organ-led processions and broken shards of original melody from the film itself.
